Tel-A-Tend Disaster NotificationTel-A-Tend is being used to give early warning to outlying areas for floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, etc.. The system can be set up to either generate an alarm if someone is not reachable, or not generate an alarm. In either case a log is kept of who was contacted and who was not. The system can also re-try a person several times if they don't answer. In areas that often have warnings for one or more possible disasters, you can set up several different databases of names and/or messages to handle each case. In this scenario an operator would just choose which database to run and start the program. The rest is handled completely automatically. |
